The White Poet
A study of the nightmare, of fear, of things that make their rounds in our heads and keep recurring. They are just images, just snapshots from within us. And yet they make our heart tighten when we become aware of them once more. We may even try to get rid of them, to repress or deny them. But what if we give ourselves to them completely? If we describe them with all their details, process them from a fleeting moment into a tangible narrative, and in the end, precisely because of this, lose our fear and perhaps even find admiration for them.
The protagonist Yksin is haunted by dark perceptions, pursued by them, and finally drawn by them himself down into absurd abysses of his existence, there to surrender to them and merge with them.
A short read, which will remain all the longer in the memory of attentive readers.
